As an English literature and print journalism double major, I’m constantly writing on various literary texts and covering several current events. At this point in my career, I’m always looking for ways to improve my current writing skills. I ask myself, how can I draw attention of readers to my news and opinion articles? How can I develop a well-written, thought-provoking, debatable thesis in my English papers?
For the past year, I’ve relied on Writing-Tips Today for information, advice, tips, and articles about writing. One of my professors showed me this Web site and I have found it extremely helpful and motivating.
The site provides assistance with essays, compositions, dissertation and thesis writing, and even blog writing. About once a week, I always check the newest articles they post at the upper left hand corner of the Web site.
Also on the left hand side, there is a section called “Article Categories.” From here, you can find articles in whichever topic you’re interested in — such as “thesis writing,” “writing research papers,” “essay writing tips,” “blog topics,” and “resume writing.”
The most recent article I read was “7 steps to Writing a Killer Term Paper” by Terence Reed and “Thesis Checklist Part 1.” Before submitting a paper, I take a quick look at the list and make sure everything is correct. Another great aspect about this site is that it links to other sites that give more advice about writing.
This is an excellent resource for students who are still in school and I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in improving his or her writing. Be sure to take a look at all the interesting articles and free resources on this Web site.
