The movie “Deadpool” will give people a nearly two-hour exciting visual roller coaster experience.

“Deadpool” is a 2016 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is the eighth installment in the X-Men film series.

The film is directed by Tim Miller, with a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić and Leslie Uggams.

A mercenary former Special Forces operative, Wade Wilson was volunteered for a rogue experiment to heal his cancer that left him with accelerated healing powers and a monster face.

After that, Wade became Deadpool to hunt down the main culprit who almost destroyed his life. Since then a story including love and revenge has started.

“Deadpool” actually has broken the fourth wall and maybe even more walls, to allow Deadpool to speak directly at the audience. By delivering his inner monologues, Deadpool giving the audience insight into his thoughts, which is a lot of fun for people to watch.

The audience actually bursts into laughter while the self-mockery and arrogant opening credits showed up– “An Entirely CGI Character,” “A Gratuitous Cameo,” “Written By The Real Heroes.” And they would not stop laughing because Hello Kitty lipstick, Green Lantern’s card, Ryan Reynolds as the “sexiest man alive” on the cover of magazines, Rob L coffee cup (“Deadpool” co-author Rob Liefeld), and Adventure Time watch will be coming.

The movie is full of humor from the beginning through the end. Pop culture references and the dirty jokes just never stopped coming.

“Deadpool,” being an origin story to some extent, deviated from the norm. The narrative is quite different. The movie started with the action scene which, was full of blood-boiling passion and alternated with flashbacks. And Wade Wilson definitely has a superpower but won’t be described as a superhero, at least not in a traditional way. Maybe he is an anti-hero in the first place. Not only is Wade without the attitude to save the world, but also he was forgot his guns while going to the final fight.

His other actions also proved that he is not a traditional hero. Such as Deadpool let his partners fight first while he just waits and watches, and even pulls out the white flag from the crotch for surrendering. Hashtag: a hero in an unusual way.

Yet the values of Deadpool were so easy for the audience, ordinary human beings, to relate. His love story and friendships are idealized, but undoubtably sweet.

Ryan Reynolds actually did a good job bringing Deadpool, Wade Wilson, into alive by his believable acting.

However, there are many different types of speculations to explain why Deadpool will forgot all of his guns in the taxi while attending the final fight to save his girl. It is still believable that Wade was actually designed by the screen writer to forget, for it will make the characteristic of Deadpool more vivid and match his free style. The most important thing is Wade forgot all of his guns made the plot with a quirky twist which was different from the other superhero movies’ .

This was Tim Miller’s directorial debut and that fact only added to the awe factor. But compared with the other Marvel movies, the evil character was too weak and only had power without intelligence. For example, the Recruiter, who has been called Agent Smith by Deadpool, could be made more difficult to be taken down, which would be more interesting.

There were too few mutants in the “Deadpool” and it didn’t make sense to delete Deadpool’s girlfriend’s mutant background. Just a friendly reminder that the gore and violence were over-the-top and graphic through the whole movie. But this is an R-rated movie.

Overall, “Deadpool” is amazing and this is so far one of the best from the Marvel movies. It has raised the expectation of people looking forward the “Deadpool 2.”

“Deadpool”

Director: Tim Miller

Writers: Rob Liefeld, Fabian Nicieza

Stars: Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J.
