The mile-long road has a plethora of activities to do for everyone, from fine dining at Sushi Samba to watching a play at the iconic Colony Theatre.

“It’s a perfect combination of food, culture and fun. You get to walk outside and enjoy the beauty of Miami without a care in the world. For me, it doesn’t get better than that,” said Andrea Azalia, a Miami Beach resident and frequent Lincoln Road visitor.

Family and friends visit Lincoln Road for different reasons, but all come for the beautifully pave road and relaxing atmosphere.

Shopping

Lincoln Road has more than 100 stores from technology to home furnishing. One of the biggest retailers is the Apple store located on the corner of Meridian Avenue and Lincoln Road. With Apple’s welcoming staff, foreigners and locals get to enjoy or purchase with the latest apple products.

Apparel for both men and women make up the majority of the shopping stores. With stores varying from the new H&M, located in the former Lincoln Theater, to Banana Republic, there are options for every budget, big or small.

“I come here because it’s convenient for shopping and the beach is right there. After a relaxing day at the beach, I can continue my day with some retail therapy!” said Ayerim Acosta, a local enjoying dinner with her friends on the patio of Van Dyke’s Café.

Food

Lincoln Road is known for it’s worldly food options representing countries from Japan to Germany. From fine dining to take-away pizza, restaurants at Lincoln Road satisfy any palette.

Fine dining restaurants include Sushi Samba, a vibrant restaurant known for its eclectic fusion of Peruvian, Brazilian, and Japanese cuisine and Rosa Mexicano, a gourmet-style Mexican restaurant with a mouth-watering guacamole.

Another restaurant favorite is Serendipity 3; its famous frozen hot chocolate attracts visitors to take a second to cool down from the warm Miami weather.

However, restaurants are not the only option for visitors to indulge in fresh and delicious food.

Every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Lincoln Road Farmers Market welcomes local farmers to sell their produce between Washington Avenue and Meridian Avenue. Locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey, and spices bring a garden-fresh perspective to visitors and locals.

Culture

For those looking for more than shopping and food, visitors can enjoy Miami’s culture from meeting people from all over world, France to Venezuela, or enjoy local music, art and entertainment.

Art Center/South Florida is a contemporary art gallery and learning center. The art exhibits are free while its learning center provides class from painting to jewelry making. Just a few steps from the art gallery, Romero Britto’s colorful art gallery is open for those looking to purchase any of his cubism-pop inspired pieces.

“The Art Center is really inspiring especially when you get to see beautiful pieces made out of barbwire. It gives you the idea that anything can be turned into art, and it makes me want to be more creative with my own art,” said Jessica Kertznus, a local Miami Artist.

Adjacent to Lincoln Road, you can find the New World Center where visitors can enjoy classical music from international artists or music students from the New World Symphony. Across the street from Lincoln Road, The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater host concerts from pop recording artists to international artists.

Lincoln Road is home for one of South Florida’s most popular venues, Colony Theatre. Opened in 1935, as a part of Paramount Pictures’ movie theater, visitors can enjoy plays or films while appreciating the beauty of Miami Beach’s historical building.

From food to concerts, Lincoln Road is a must-go for any tourists or local looking to enjoy quality time with friends or family.

If You Go

Visit www.lincolnroadmall.com for more details and directions.

Farmers Market

Every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Antique and Collectible Market, every other Sunday 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Restaurants

Sushi Samba- www.sushisamba.com.

Rosa Mexicano- www.rosamexicano.com.

Serendipity 3- http://www.serendipity3.com.

Van Dyke Café- http://www.thevandykecafe.com.

Shake Shack- www.shakeshack.com/location/south-beach/‎.

Shopping

Go to www.lincolnroadmall.com for the full list of stores.

Culture

Art Center/South Florida- www.artcentersf.org.

Colony Theatre- www.colonytheatremiamibeach.com.

New World Center- www.newworldcenter.com.

The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater- www.fillmoremb.com.

Britto Gallery- www.britto.com.

Posted November 30, 2013 By ANDREA JACOBO MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — As people stroll down Lincoln Road, their eyes go in every direction for the brick roads and palm trees highlight the best things Miami has to offer, international food … Continue reading →

["post-2425","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
