The Highlands are beautiful regardless of the season: walk across the Bear Bridge, hike to the top of a mountain or sit with a glass of wine and decompress. Visit West Point and the million-dollar view while taking in a free Sunday evening outdoor concert.<\/p>\n

The River Crest B&B is located 2.5 miles south of West Point\u2019s Thayer Gate, eight miles East of Woodbury Common Premium Outlets shopping, five miles from the Hudson River Rail Line Station to New York\u2019s Grand Central Station, and 1.5 miles from the Revolutionary War battle site.<\/p>\n

At the foot of the Hudson Valley Wine Trail, the Hudson River Crest Bed and Breakfast is the perfect spot to take in some of the best New York has to offer. A young couple Claude and Francoise Antoine moved from Paris, France and are now living and working in New York City. They heard of a biking path that started in New York City and went all the way to the Hudson River Crest Bed and Breakfast.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis bed and breakfast has a great area to sit and relax, eat and drink, and look at the view of the Hudson River,\u201d Francoise said.<\/p>\n

Their bike-riding journey took about six hours each way. Moving from Paris was a big step for the couple, but it allowed them to meet different people and explore what Upstate New York had to offer. They were used to biking in France and thought it was the perfect way for them to experience some of the small towns on the way and, hopefully, see if any of the trees had started to change colors.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have really enjoyed our stay and yesterday we met another couple here that invited us to join them visiting some wineries in the area,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

This was one of the most spectacular hidden treasures for New Yorkers that my family has ever stumbled upon. With hardly an hour in the car from Westchester airport, you are in this glorious setting and in the comforts of the beautiful home of Lynn and Bill. Their generosity, kindness, and true interest that our stay be flawless were boundless.<\/p>\n

The home is stunning, the room, so comfortable, along with the homemade food. The scenery is breathtaking. This is the true spirit of a\u00a0B&B; warm, lovely people opening up their home in a rare context of nature and beauty.<\/p>\n
